One of the things that wasn't helping the feel of our cluttered kitchen was the million calendars, notes, and lists that were plastered all over the fridge. We use this area as a daily reminder of what needs to be packed in school bags, who has what going on, and what in the fridge needs to be eaten.  And yes, it really looked as confusing as it sounds.

I got these translucent magnetic plastic dry erase boards so we can list everything that's happening each week and also anything else that we need to keep on the top of our minds.

 It has made a huge difference to the look and feel of our kitchen, and I love that for $30 you get a calendar and also a blank board that you can use for literally anything that will make your life easier.  We use it to track the food in our fridge that needs to get eaten ASAP. Bonus: the set also comes with markers and a whiteboard eraser. 

Small Closet Solution: Use Vertical Space

The second location in my home that needed some extra storage was our spare bedroom closet/gift wrapping supplies. Up until now, they were taking up valuable floor space in our closet in random bags, boxes, and even loose on the floor.

Wrapping paper is large and challenging to organize, so I knew that I wanted something super functional - like this two pack of hanging gift wrap holders.
